Announcing the Senmomo Patch's Release Date

Posted on August 8, 2025 by DubstepKazoo

Hey, it's been a hot second since anyone's posted anything on our website, hasn't it? Our website that has definitely never gone down at all.

Well, today I've got great news for you! The Senmomo patch is complete and ready for release, and we've settled on a release date.

That date is today, at approximately right this very second.

Yup! You have been bamboozled by my grand deception! This is the release post for the patch! The August Curse is broken at last! Hallelujah, holy shit! It's exactly four years to the day since I first announced this project to the world. It's also an important date within Senmomo's story, not to mention my birthday. What better date could we have possibly chosen?

Without further ado, the download links are available in the Patches page.

I'm sure you have a few questions, like how to apply the patch, but don't worry. That's all in the readme. Now if you'll indulge me, I'd like to wax sentimental for a little bit. I don't want to keep you away from the game too long, so I'll keep it brief.

This project was truly lightning in a bottle. Without a grand confluence of a great deal of luck, none of this would have been even remotely possible. It was a miracle that I was even able to extract the text from the VN so I could translate it in the first place; I never could've repacked it and done all the other crazy hacking stuff that our hackers accomplished for this project. I also have zero image editing talent, I don't know how to sub songs, and so on and so forth. Everyone who joined the team to see my passion project to fruition is an absolute wizard at what they do, and it's quite humbling to see this project become so much bigger than myself. We've put out something truly special here.

If you're interested in seeing our further work, Lonesome, Light, Shizuku, Petzku, and I are currently subbing the anime adaptations of Summer Pockets and 9-nine- with Kaleido Subs, and we're sure to pick up whatever catches our fancy in the future, too. But that's all from me for now - go enjoy Soujin and Akari's quest to save the Empire!

Oh, and try going idle on the title screen for a few seconds before you start the game. You won't regret it.
